So this past week Robert and I have been doing the cabbage soup diet. (It is also called the fat-burning diet.) You do it for 7 days and each day has something different to eat along with the soup. We've done it before and both lost 10 lbs each. Robert had gone to the doctor and his cholesterol is up so we needed to do something to help it. Traylor loved it because she got to watch and make sure mommy and daddy didn't cheat. Everyday soup and water were givens.
Can I just say that I am so sick of cabbage right now and I love cabbage.
We started on Sunday.
Eat lots of soup and only fruits. Also you can have cranberry juice to drink. check
Monday
Eat lots of soup and only vegetables. Plus we got a plain baked potato that night. yumo! check (I was already having a hard time eating the soup)
Tuesday
Eat lots of soup and have fruits and vegetables, no baked potato. check
Wednesday
Eat lots of soup and 8 bananas and as much skim milk as you want. check (Robert had 1%, and whoa that is alot of bananas!!) I had to make a new batch of soup tonight and it didn't quite taste the same. Robert liked it better. go figure. By today I so needed the potassium. I had leg cramp all day and night. not fun
Thursday
Eat at least 1 bowl of soup and 6 tomatoes and 10 to 20 oz of beef. check (I could barely get that 1 bowl down) "(
Friday
Eat at least 1 bowl of soup and up to 3 steaks, all you can eat vegetables. (Robert has decided that we are stopping today. He doesn't care for brown rice and that is tomorrow. I'm okay with that. ") )
So as of right now, I lost 6 lbs and Robert lost 7 lbs. We realized we were drinking sweetened cranberry juice and not unsweetened and think that is the reason we didn't loose like last time.
Yes we are crazy but it got my coworkers eating healthy. They saw me bringing in all my fruits and veggies and they started doing the same. so... sweet.
We'll probably do it again but give me a month to look at cabbages. hehe
I am ready for a real meal.

I don't know if I could do that, and I really like cabbage too. Joe and I went on Weight Watchers (Flex Points) last December, and Joe has lost 40 lbs. and I have lost about 35. It's been good, and not too hard.
